Excellent Results Achieved by the Teachers of Ideological and Political Courses in Our University in the Final of the Fifth Provincial Competition for Young Teachers of Ideological and Political Courses in Hebei Province

Recently, the Education Working Committee of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee and the Department of Education of Hebei Province announced the results of the final of the Fifth Competition for Young Teachers of Ideological and Political Theory Courses in Universities. Three young teachers from the College of Marxism of our university have achieved excellent results with their solid theoretical foundation, wonderful teaching design, and flexible classroom presentation. Among them, Tian Yanjia won the first prize in the "Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought and the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics" (Undergraduate Group), Li Yang won the third prize in the "Outline of Modern and Contemporary Chinese History" (Undergraduate Group), and Li Ru won the third prize in the "Ideological, Moral and Legal Education" (Undergraduate Group).
This competition was sponsored by the Education Working Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Department of Education and was launched in May 2024. It was divided into two stages: the preliminary round and the final round. In the preliminary round, the Department of Education organized experts to conduct two-way anonymous evaluations of the teaching videos and teaching plans of the participating teachers. In the final round, the participants carried out on-site teaching competitions in the form of traditional blackboard writing. The judges comprehensively evaluated the teachers from aspects such as language, teaching manner, teaching content, teaching process, and teaching effect.
The College of Marxism attached great importance to this competition. It organized teaching backbones to form a preparation guidance team to provide full-course training and guidance for the participating teachers. It made careful plans, from organizing the preliminary selection to coordinating the semi-finals, to help the participating teachers optimize their teaching materials and improve their teaching designs. Renowned teachers provided guidance. Experts and renowned teachers from outside the university were invited to conduct "one-on-one" teaching diagnosis for the participating teachers, accurately grasping the key points, difficulties, and highlights of each link of the competition.
Achieving these results is an important phase achievement of the College of Marxism in deeply implementing the "1396" development strategy of the university and continuously promoting the "13510" Young Talent Cultivation Project. Taking this competition as an opportunity, the College of Marxism will further deepen the teaching reform of ideological and political courses, give full play to the demonstration role of "promoting learning and teaching through competitions", guide young teachers to improve their theoretical level and professional abilities, consolidate their teaching basic skills, explain ideological and political courses in-depth, thoroughly, and vividly, and effectively enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political courses in cultivating morality and educating people.
