On December 6, the final of the tug-of-war competition was held in front of the administrative building，which is to commemorate the 89th anniversary of the “December 9th” Movement with the theme of “Eighty-nine Years of Passing on the Torch and Shouldering the Responsibility to strengthen the country”. Party Secretary Chen Liang, Deputy Party Secretary and President Wang Yongqin, and Vice President Feng Baoqiang attended the event.
The competition was held in both the North and the South campuses. After the preliminary competition, four teams stood out and entered the finals. After fierce competition, the School of Physical Education won the first prize, the School of Music won the second prize, and the School of Economics and Management and the School of Science won the third prize.
During the finals, all participating teams worked together and fought tenaciously, demonstrating strong cohesion and team spirit. The audience was enthusiastic and cheered one after another, adding infinite vitality to the cold winter campus.
Through this competition, the students reviewed history, strengthened their patriotic feelings, and deeply realized the importance of unity and cooperation and the contemporary significance of inheriting the “December 9th” spirit. The students said that they would practice the oath of “strengthening the country with me” in the new era with greater enthusiasm and high morale, and contribute their youthful strength to the prosperity of the motherland.
