On the afternoon of December 5th, our university held a research and supervision meeting on the application for master's degree. Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and President Wang Yongqin, Vice President Feng Baoqiang attended the meeting, and relevant department heads, degree program leaders, and personnel from the Graduate Education Development Center attended the meeting.
At the supervision meeting, Wang Yongqin fully affirmed the achievements of the university in the application for master's degree. She pointed out that the current work of applying for a master's degree is the core work of the university, therefore we must seize opportunities, follow the trend, and promote the high-quality development of the university. She emphasized that the whole university should further unify its thinking, clarify its goals, strengthen cooperation, form a joint force, and make precise efforts to improve the quality of construction with a high sense of responsibility and mission. She requested that relevant departments and degree programs make the application for master's degree their top priority, strictly implement their main responsibilities, transmit pressure at all levels, take proactive measures, and make every effort to enhance the competitiveness of master's degree granting units and authorization points.
Feng Baoqiang put forward specific requirements for the construction of degree programs. Firstly, we must strictly follow the requirements of degree authorization review, continuously optimize the construction plan, and effectively improve the quality of construction. Secondly, we should be results-oriented and strive for greater achievements in high-level projects and high-quality outcomes. Thirdly, we must strive for excellence, solidly promote construction work with high efficiency and quality, and spare no effort to win the construction goals.
Zhao Ligong, Director of the Graduate Education Development Center, reported in detail on the progress of the construction of degree programs in recent times. The heads of relevant departments reported on the progress and follow-up measures of talent cultivation, teaching staff, scientific research and other construction work. The heads of each degree program reported on the current problems and solutions.
The convening of this meeting further clarified the university's approach to applying for a master's degree. The attendees stated that they will continue to take more precise measures under the guidance of the "1396" development strategy, and make every effort to achieve practical results in promoting the application for master's degree, making positive efforts to enhance the school's educational level and comprehensive strength.
