On the afternoon of December 9, Wang Yongqin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President, and Li Juan, Vice President, led the heads of the office, academic affairs office, scientific research office, experimental training center and other departments to investigate and guide the teaching and scientific research work of the relevant colleges of the North Campus.
At the work report meeting, Wang Yongqin fully affirmed the solid foundation laid by each college in the construction of disciplines and majors. She pointed out that it is not easy to achieve achievements, but we must have a clearer understanding of the future. She stressed: First, we must be good at studying regularity. All work should be studied in a timely manner for the trend and future, systematically planned, integrated and coordinated advancement, in-depth research, summary, refinement and induction, and a systematic understanding should be formed to guide our work. Second, it is necessary to strengthen the construction of high standards. The top-level design, development plan and strategic goals of the school are clear and clear, we must be good at breaking through the path dependence, breaking the inertial thinking, always paying attention to our status and level in the same level of universities, and planning the development of the cause with higher standards and longer-term goals. Third, we must persist in grasping the characteristics and bright spots. Concentrate on continuous efforts in a certain field to form breakthroughs, so as to create characteristic highlights, form high-quality results, and show the unique influence of Shijiazhuang University, so as to improve the first degree and expand its popularity. Fourth, we must constantly enhance our sense of urgency. The school is faced with the urgent situation of the development of higher education and the competitive pressure of brother colleges and universities, and we must seize the major opportunity of the national strategy of promoting the education power, enhance the sense of urgency of entrepreneurship, and make our own efforts, be good at borrowing, form a joint force, and work together to create a number of landmark achievements.
At the meeting, the main leaders of the School of Music, the School of Literature and History, the Department of Agriculture and Food Science, the School of Chemical Engineering/Biomedicine, the School of Teacher Education and the School of Physical Education made a concentrated report on the effectiveness, development characteristics and breakthrough work of teaching and scientific research. From time to time, Wang Yongqin discussed and exchanged views with the participants on issues of concern.
Before the meeting, accompanied by the relevant functional offices and the leadership team of the college, Wang Yongqin inspected the office space, physical education building, teacher vocational skills training center, chemistry laboratory building, music building, main teaching building of the North Campus, and conducted on-site exchanges with the colleges on the infrastructure construction.
