In order to deeply study the important statement of General Secretary Xi Jinping on strengthening patriotic education for young people and deeply understand the content and significance of the Patriotic Education Law of the People’s Republic of China, the Youth League Committee of the University and the School of Law and Society jointly held a series of activities to study and publicize the Patriotic Education Law in April.
On April 8, a network knowledge competition on patriotic education law started in our university. Teachers and students participated actively in the competition. They learned, consolidated and spread legal knowledge in the competition, and further studied and understood the Patriotic Education Law. In the process of learning, they further stimulated the enthusiasm of loving the Party and the country. On April 11, Zhang Can, a young doctor teacher from the School of Law and Society, gave a lecture to the representatives of the students of the whole university. The theme is “Studying the Patriotic Education Law and Promoting the Patriotic Spirit”. Starting from the May Fourth Movement, he deeply analyzed the patriotic enthusiasm of young students, and explained the main contents of each chapter of the Patriotic Education Law of the People’s Republic of China, as well as the reasons and significance of formulating the law. Zhang Can pointed out that in a peaceful era and a peaceful country, patriotism also exists in our ordinary life. He hopes that everyone can become a qualified social citizen and interpret the true meaning of patriotism with their own life. The lecture further enhanced the teachers and students’ understanding of the Patriotic Education Law, and enhanced the students’ patriotic spirit and ambition to serve the country.
A series of activities on Patriotic Education Law learning and publicity will continue to be carried out in various forms such as knowledge competitions and propaganda. This is beneficial to help teachers and students learn the new law and establish a correct patriotic concept.
