In the afternoon of April 22, the famous painter and calligrapher Mr. Xiao Yunsong donated calligraphy and painting activities held in the first lecture hall of our school. Secretary of the Party Committee Chen Liang, Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President Li Juan attended the donation ceremony, while the person in charge of the library and representatives of teachers from the Department of Special Collections participated in the donation ceremony.
Xiao Yunsong celebrated the upcoming completion of the physical space of the Shiyuan Literature Library at the university by waving his brush and ink and creating a piece of calligraphy. Chen Liang accepted the gift on behalf of the university and had a cordial talk with Xiao Yunsong.
At the donation ceremony, Chen Liang introduced in detail the basic situation of the school, the "1396" development strategy, and the highlights and achievements of the campus culture construction in recent years, and invited Xiao Yunsong to come to our school to hold a personal calligraphy and painting exhibition. Xiao Yunsong thanked the school for the kind invitation, introduced his family heritage, and expressed his personal insights on Chinese and Western culture and art creation.
Xiao Yunsong donated the book written by General Xiao Ke to our school, which is a precious edition of the last century that he has been collecting with all his heart. On behalf of the library, Li Juan accepted the donation and presented the certificate of collection to Xiao Yunsong.
Our university library will take this donation as an opportunity to further promote the construction of the physical space of the Shiyuan library, and strive to create a characteristic cultural place for centralized collection, long-term preservation and key display of the achievements of the library, so as to make it a display place for the academic map of the Shijiazhuang University, a two-way feedback base for teaching and scientific research, and an important base for school history education.
