Our University Organized the “China Digital Health and Elderly Care City” Venture Capital Research Action to Enter Pingshan Activity

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the implementation of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy, our university, in conjunction with Northeastern University Qinhuangdao Campus, China Health and Elderly Care Group, Caijing Network, and more than 20 other units, initiated the "China Digital Health and Elderly Care City" venture capital research action to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development. The plan is to carry out research activities in more than 10 districts and counties in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region from April to July this year. From April 8th to 9th, at the invitation of the Pingshan County Government, and with the active communication and coordination of our university's resident work team in Anli Village, our university organized an inspection team to conduct venture capital research in Pingshan County. The inspection team was composed of leaders from our university, Northeastern University Qinhuangdao Campus, China Health and Elderly Care Group, Shenzhen UBTECH Robotics Corp Ltd., Beijing Science and Technology Finance Alliance, Hebei Province Medical Health and Care Facilities Industry Technology Research Institute, Hebei Academy of Social Sciences, Caijing Network and 22 other units. Liang Chendong, the deputy county head of Pingshan, and the main responsible comrades from the county development and reform commission, finance bureau, urban planning bureau, environmental protection bureau, civil affairs bureau, culture and tourism bureau, education bureau, financial office, county investment service center, Wentang town government, Jingye Group, etc., attended this event.
During the activity, the inspection team visited various locations in Pingshan County, including the Fuli and Evergrande plots, Wentang Hotel, Bailu Hotel, Hongya Ancient Town, the former site of the Central United Front Work Department, and Lijiazhuang Holiday Village. Both parties exchanged views on cooperation intentions in health care land use, residential health care, smart platforms, operational models, development planning, etc.
During the venture capital negotiation meeting, participants together watched a promotional video for Pingshan's investment attraction. Zhang Xiaofei, Dean of the China Health and Elderly Care - Dongda Institute of Northeastern University Qinhuangdao Campus, Wang Tianjun, Deputy General Manager of the Development Planning Department of China Health and Elderly Care Group, Yang Jin, General Manager of the Health Business Division of Shenzhen UBTECH Robotics Corp Ltd., and Guo Jianming, Dean of Hebei Province Medical Health and Care Facilities Industry Technology Research Institute, each spoke about their respective fields of research. They discussed topics such as the concept, content, and strategy of building a "sixth livelihood network" in China's digital health and elderly care cities, investment and development of health and elderly care in Pingshan, satisfying the needs of an aging population with AI technology services, and a comprehensive solution for smart health and elderly care encompassing "hardware + software + services + content". Zhang Xuedong, Vice Dean of our university's Faculty of Law and Sociology, spoke about the role of application-oriented universities and the improvement of new productive forces, and fully promoting the organic linkage and deep integration of the "four chains" in digital health and elderly care. He introduced the foundation, objectives, and measures for the integration of industry and education in digital health and elderly care innovation. Chen Lanxin, Dean of our university's Faculty of Science, Lv Qingfeng, Deputy General Manager of Lao Hui Elderly Care Group, Cao Zhuojun, Business Partner of Hejun Consulting, and Deputy General Manager of the Health and Elderly Care Business Division, exchanged views on red cultural tourism construction, development of the health and elderly care industry, research and development of smart platforms, etc.
Liang Chendong, Deputy County Head of Pingshan, expressed a warm welcome and sincere thanks to the experts for their arrival. He stated that Pingshan has a profound red culture and rich tourism resources, offering a favorable development environment and vast market space. The strategic positioning and development compatibility between the two sides are high, with broad areas of cooperation and tremendous prospects. He hoped that both sides would strengthen communication and docking to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results soon.
In this role, our university served as one of the main organizers of the "China Digital Health and Elderly Care City" venture capital research action, fully connecting with the needs of regional economic and social development. In collaboration with the academic, industrial, financial, and media sectors, it has actively established a venture capital cooperation platform for the "China Digital Health and Elderly Care City". The aim is to conduct in-depth research to identify a group of excellent digital health and elderly care urban areas and provide targeted services through the platform, expand the effective supply of health and elderly care products, promote high-quality development of the health and elderly care industry, and serve the socio-economic development of the provincial capital. In the future, the institute will firmly implement the school's 1396 development strategy, carry out the construction of the geriatric service management discipline and the venture capital cooperation platform for the "China Digital Health and Elderly Care City", supply high-quality geriatric service management talent to the society, provide consultation services for elderly care policies, and contribute to the high-quality development of the elderly care industry in our province.
